Winston

Hello Families,

As you all know, I will not be back at school in September as I will be off on maternity leave. That being said, our little buddy Winston is looking for his forever home (Starting in June).
He is free and comes with cage, bedding and food. He is very easy to care for and doesn't require too much time or energy. He eats once a day (am) and requires his cage to be cleaned once a week.
He is very affectionate with the kids and gets along well with other animals.

If you are interested please let me know in the next few weeks so we can secure a happy home for him.

Earth Hour, Chocolate and HOMEWORK

Earth Hour
Earth Hour is on Saturday, March 28th at 8:30pm. To join in, we did reading buddies today in the dark. Students used flashlights to read with their grade 7/8 reading buddies.
Here are a few pictures:

Chocolate Bar
Three classes in the school won a 5 lbs chocolate bar for having the highest chocolate bar sales in our fundraiser. Well.. wouldn't you know it, we were one of those winning classes!
Each student will be sent home today with a piece of chocolate in their communication bags. (You're welcome!).

Homework
Each day next week, different students will be sent home with some homework. (Check beside their name on the sheet to see what day they are sharing).
Your task is to help your child choose an item that is small enough to fit in the plastic egg. Students will write 3 hints as to what is in the egg and have a chance to share.
*Please check their communication bag for their sheet and egg.

Happy St. Patty's Day and Happy March Break

Hope everyone has a great March Break! See you back on March 23rd.

Keep practicing those letters, sounds and counting over the break. LOADS of good songs on youtube to help.
